AI questions asked (stored to enforce usage limits)
Items you save or bookmark
Chat history (Pro users only)
Lifetime AI question count

Device and Crash Data (via Firebase Crashlytics):

Device model and OS version (Android/iOS)
App crash reports and error logs
Device identifiers for debugging

Analytics Data (via Firebase Analytics):

Screen views and feature usage
App open and session data
Country/city level location only
Events: searches, AI questions, saves, upgrades

Advertising Data (via Google AdMob):

Only collected when user chooses to watch a rewarded video ad
Used solely to deliver the requested video ad
We do not use AdMob for tracking or personalized advertising

Payment Data (via Google Play and RevenueCat):

Subscription plan type and status only
We never see your full payment details
All payments processed by Google Play (Android) or App Store (iOS)

3. How We Use Your Information

To provide Islamic knowledge search and AI answers
To enforce free tier limits (1 lifetime AI question)
To verify and manage Pro subscription status
To save your bookmarks and chat history
To offer rewarded video ads as optional way to earn bonus AI questions
To fix crashes and improve app stability
To understand how users use the app
To send important account notifications

Google Sign In

Purpose: Authentication

Apple Sign In

Purpose: Authentication (iOS only)

Supabase

Purpose: Database — stores profiles, saves, AI counts, chat history

Firebase Analytics (Google)

Purpose: Anonymous usage statistics

Firebase Crashlytics (Google)

Purpose: Crash reporting and debugging

Google AdMob

Purpose: Optional rewarded video ads only

Users choose to watch a short video to earn a bonus AI question. These are not automatic or personalized ads.

RevenueCat

Purpose: Subscription management and verification

Google Play Billing

Purpose: Payment processing for subscriptions

Railway/Flowise

Purpose: Secure AI question processing

Questions are not stored after processing

Pinecone

Purpose: Islamic text search

Search queries are not stored

Typesense

Purpose: Search functionality

Search queries are not stored

5. Data Storage and Security

All data stored securely on Supabase servers
All data transmission encrypted via HTTPS
We never sell your data to third parties
AI questions stored only to enforce usage limits
Crash reports used only for debugging purposes

6. Data Retention

Account data: kept until account deletion
AI question count: kept permanently even after account deletion (to prevent abuse of free tier)
Chat history: deleted when account is deleted
Crash reports: automatically deleted after 90 days
Analytics data: anonymized after 14 months

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Access your personal data
Delete your account and all associated data
Opt out of analytics via device settings
Cancel subscription anytime via Google Play (Android) or App Store (iOS)

To delete your account:

Go to Profile → Account Settings → Delete Account

To cancel subscription:

Go to Profile → Account Settings → Cancel Subscription (manages via Google Play on Android or App Store on iOS)

8. Children's Privacy

Imaan Mate is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us immediately at support@imaanmate.com

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy periodically. Significant changes will be notified via email or in-app notification. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new policy.
